The Golden Beach Award 2024, drawn up by BeachAtlas, is a ranking that lists the 100 best beaches in the world based on the opinion of travel experts and digital influencers selected from all over the globe and, this year, Coxos beach is in 58th place.
According to the website, Coxos beach "reflects the deep connection of the ancient 'Jagoz' people to the sea, who once lived here".
"Just as the 'Jagozes' lived exclusively in harmony with the gifts of the ocean, the modern surfers of Praia dos Coxos embrace the rhythm of the sea, creating a life intertwined with the waves. This lasting legacy crowns Praia dos Coxos as a jewel in Europe's surfing capital, Ericeira," he adds.
