To mark International Monuments and Sites Day, the city council organised a series of fun and educational activities for kids and adults alike.

"Travelling back in time was once the stuff of science fiction" was the theme of the activity that allowed 25 residents to explore the history of the Lines of Torres Vedras through a virtual reality experience at the Lines of Torres Vedras Interpretation Centre, located in the Quinta da Raposa Cultural Complex (Mafra). On this occasion, participants were also able to try out the game "Napoleon Bonaparte: the beginning of the end".

On the same day, the City Council's Visual Arts Workshop organised a drawing and watercolour workshop, in which some of the most emblematic rooms and architectural elements of the National Palace of Mafra were recorded.
