Stage 2 will take place on Leça da Palmeira beach from Friday

The countdown has begun to the Somersby Porto Pro, the second stage of the MEO Surf League, which starts next Friday and runs until Sunday in Porto and Matosinhos. The event will take place at Leça da Palmeira Beach, with the top division of Portuguese surfing ready to put on a show and continue the fight for the top surfing titles in Portugal.

The opening stage saw a duel of generations, where experience won out over youth with victories for Tomás Fernandes and Teresa Bonvalot over Tiago Stock and Gabriela Dinis. We're looking forward to seeing how the new national generation responds, while the current leaders in the national titles will be wearing the yellow Go Chill colours.

The competition line-up has now been revealed, with several heats that promise exciting contests. On both the men's and women's sides, close battles are expected from the first to the last minute until the Somersby Porto Pro champions are crowned.
