With the aim of promoting ocean literacy among children, the Municipality of Mafra has been participating in the "Educating for a Blue Generation", promoted by the Oceano Azul Foundation and Oceanário de Lisboa, with the support of the Directorate-General for Education, distributing copies of the children's collection "Patrulha Ação Azul" to primary school students.

The first session was attended by students from the Ericeira Primary School.
