Portuguese organists from different generations are joining international artists for the 7th edition of the Mafra International Organ Festival, under the theme "World Music", which will be taking place from 5 to 21 April, with concerts in the Basilica of the National Palace of Mafra and in various churches in the municipality.

 

In 2024, the concerts will take place in the Basilica of the National Palace of Mafra and in the churches of Nossa Senhora da Encarnação, Nossa Senhora da Assunção (Enxara do Bispo), Santo Isidoro, S. Pedro (Ericeira), Nossa Senhora do Livramento, São Silvestre do Gradil, Santo André (Mafra), as well as in the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte Carmo (Venda do Pinheiro).

The Mafra International Organ Festival is organised by the Mafra City Council, with the support of the Mafra National Palace and the Vicarage of Mafra and the artistic direction of João Vaz.

The concert, to be held in the Basilica of the National Palace of Mafra on 7 April, is free and tickets are on sale at the National Palace of Mafra.

Entry to the other churches is free, subject to capacity.
