The Archive-Museum of the Holy House of Mercy of Ericeira, which also includes the Church of Mercy, is housed in the former premises of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Rosary, formerly the hostel and hospital adjacent to the temple.

Founded on 1 June 1937, it is currently Ericeira's main museum, guardian of a valuable collection of the town's memory. One of its ex-libris is the nine 17th-century canvases alluding to the Passion of Christ cycle, which went through the streets of Ericeira in the Procession of the Bonfires on the 5th Friday before Easter.

The collection also includes an ivory and wood sculpture of Our Lady in Majesty, also from the 17th century, of Indo-Portuguese origin; the engravings collection, which includes Spanish works from the second half of the 18th century depicting the Corporal Works of Mercy; and the charter that King Manuel granted to the town of Jagoz in 1513.

The Archive-Museum also houses a significant collection of ethnographic memorabilia representing the local community's relationship with the sea, which has always contributed to the construction of their identity.
