Church and Museum of Santa Casa da Misericórdia

In Ericeira the archive Misericórdia Museumwhich also includes the Misericórdia Church ,

is installed in the old facilities of the Irmandade da Nossa Senhora do Rosário, formerly the hostel and hospital adjacent to the temple.

Founded on 1 June 1937, it is currently Ericeira's main museum, guardian of a valuable collection of the town's memories. One of its ex-libris is the nine 17th-century canvases alluding to the cycle of the Passion of Christ, which went through the streets of Ericeira in the Procession of the Bonfires on the 5th Friday before Easter.
