These include the altar - which was probably placed inside in 1567 at the request of a group of Ericeira residents - and the 17th century tiles that line the interior of the chapel. The space was extended in 1678.<\/p><p>The Brotherhood of St Sebastian, made up exclusively of unmarried boys, was based in the chapel. The tombs of this group were there until 1968, but have since been transferred to Miseric\u00f3rdia, along with those in the parish church.<\/p><p>For several years now, the Festivities in Honour of S. Sebasti\u00e3o and S. Vicente have been held at the chapel at the end of January, once the biggest celebration in the town and surrounding area. Nowadays, the festivities are also known as Festa dos B\u00eabados. After Mass, the people of Ericeira (and other visitors) gather in the church square to dance to popular music, eat regional cakes and drink a glass of red wine from barrels donated for the event.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element
