Tratolixo - Solid Waste Treatment

A "Tratolixo" is a certified inter-municipal company, 100% owned by AMTRES. It is responsible for the public service of treating Municipal Waste produced by more than 800,000 inhabitants of the municipalities.

The result of their hard, rigorous and efficient work is various recyclable products - which are sent for recovery - electricity and compost.

Their mission is to ensure the treatment and recovery of Municipal Waste produced in our municipalities, always taking into account the principles of sustainability.

The vision of this company is to use the most advanced, safe and environmentally appropriate techniques in the treatment of this waste. It places special emphasis on recovery and considers them to be a source of potential raw materials.
